Learning in class

This week in year 4 we learned about decimals. We used coins like 1ps and 2ps and pounds (but not real ones). We had to work with a partner and guess how much money they had under their hand. We had 10 seconds to look at the coins and then have an estimate. Your partner then told you the real answer and wrote it on the whiteboard. It was great fun!  By Benedicta

For art this week in Year 5 we painted and drew a bowl of fruit from different angles. Some children used charcoal which they could smudge to add shadow. Another group used paint and the other children used drawing pencils. Then we swapped so that we all had a chance using different methods. It was a really enjoyable afternoon and we produced some great work which we hope to display soon.  By Waheeda
